When should I actually get tested?
Any of these: you had unprotected sex (or the condom broke), your partner tested positive, you have symptoms (discharge, itching, burning, rashes, ulcers), you're starting a new relationship, or it's simply been a while since your last screening. Most bacterial STDs are detectable within 1–2 weeks; HIV and Syphilis may need 4–12 weeks for accurate results. We'll advise the right timing during your consultation.
Can I have an STD without any symptoms?
Yes — very commonly. Chlamydia, gonorrhoea, HPV and early HIV often show no symptoms at all, yet are transmissible. This is exactly why routine screening matters, especially if you're sexually active with new or multiple partners.
How long do results take?
Most lab-based screenings return within 24 hours. Our rapid Gonorrhoea test and triple-regimen treatment can be done same-day. You'll always get a confidential result review with a doctor — not just a printout.
Is it really confidential? Will my employer or insurer find out?
Yes, it's confidential. Your records stay with the clinic. We don't share results with employers, family, or insurers without your explicit written consent. The "Green Room" protocol at reception is specifically designed to keep your visit private from other patients too.
Can STDs be cured?
Most bacterial STDs — Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Syphilis — are fully curable with the right antibiotics when caught early. Viral infections like HIV and Herpes can't be cured but are highly manageable with modern treatment. Early testing = better outcomes across the board.
How should I prepare for the test?
Avoid sexual activity for at least 24 hours before the test for accurate results. If you're doing a urine-based PCR, don't urinate for 1–2 hours beforehand. Otherwise — just come in. Our doctor will guide the rest.
Do you offer installment plans?
Yes. Most packages are eligible for Atome and our Easy Payment Plan (EPP) via major credit cards — splitting payment into 3 monthly installments. Just mention it when booking.
